Our Story

How It All Started

Britt began her career in marketing, working with companies like HashiCorp, Oracle, and DoorDash.

While the experience gave her valuable skills, she realized her true passion was working with animals. To follow this calling, she left the corporate world and created Park Slope Pals, a warm, in-home haven for small dogs in the heart of her neighborhood.

Our Philosophy

Her goal is to provide loving, attentive care at an affordable price, welcoming all dogs—whether seniors, dogs with special medical needs, recent rescues, or long-term family companions.

Britt loves meeting new dogs almost as much as her Havanese, Furby, does; last year, she even hosted a Christmas dinner and gift-opening for two dogs she was boarding over the holidays.

Britt’s approach is rooted in patience, routine, and genuine connection. Each dog receives individualized attention in a safe, smoke-free environment. She is insured through Pet Care Insurance and is American Red Cross–certified in Dog CPR and First Aid.

About Britt

Originally from Baltimore, Britt is a diehard Ravens and Orioles fan. Outside of dog care, she is an avid bike rider and volunteers with New York Road Runners and her alma mater, Dartmouth, where she serves as an Admissions Ambassador.

Meet the Family

Britt shares her home with her husband, Michael—who grew up with dogs and works from home as a software engineer—and Furby, their 5-year-old Havanese.

Michael is often around to help supervise dogs while Britt is at appointments, and Furby has been carefully socialized to welcome and befriend visiting dogs. She’s known to nap beside her new friends during the day and sleep next to them at night.

Together, they’ve created a calm, comfortable environment where every dog is treated like a member of the family.

Giving Back

We proudly support Sean Casey Animal Rescue, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that provides life-saving care to animals with the most severe medical and behavioral needs. A percentage of every booking goes directly to their critical care fund.
